A Call and Response
“…There is the initial call and then there is the response to that Call. This is common to many of us in the African and African American communities. It can also be recognized in most cultures and communities around the world. This cultural consideration for me is just that and not an appropriation but an inspiration to be inclusive of the multiple cultures we have in our world. The creative arts share common elements and principles that can demonstrate how the rhythmic Call and Response can inspire our imaginations perhaps even in the most difficult times…”
